Innovation takes a hit in recession

Professor Robert Graham is among the scientists quoted in an article in The Australian requesting increased Federal Government support for the biotech industry to ensure that we protect our ability to turn medical research discoveries into products that save lives. The article also mentions the spin-off biotech company NexPep, developed by the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, which needs commercialisation funding to trial a new treatment for coeliac disease.
